Investing in a greener future

With a limited UK supply base, the ever increasing costs, and the expense of imports
RSM made the decision to invest over £700,000 in a Thermal Reclamation and Resin Coating Plant, allowing the re use of 90% of sand usage.

Waste sand was previously recycled for the production of Ashphalt with a smaller proportion going to landfill.

Rsm's process generates grain size sand for recycling and so there is no need for pre attrition other than scrap mould and cores which are broken down and blended into sand for thermal reclamation.

The thermal reclamation in itself improves the sand quality as the sand has undergone its thermal phase change vastly reducing finning defects.

The environmental benfits are clear, reducing the need for Quarrying RSM's requirements. In house production reduces  transport and a vastley reduced quantity to landfill.

RSM has worked closely with the Local Authority to ensure compliance and minimise the impact on the local community.

With the freedom of a bespoke production facility RSM can now tailor make sand to suit all production and quality reqirements.
